Rand Water: Water & Wastewater Reticulation Services Learnership

Rand Water invites unemployed South African youth to apply for the Water and Wastewater Reticulation Services Learnership Programme. This technical learnership provides structured training and practical workplace experience in water distribution, pipeline maintenance, and wastewater reticulation systems within the water sector.

The programme aims to develop skilled artisans and technicians to support South Africa’s water infrastructure and municipal service delivery.

 Training Areas

 Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)

  • Maths & Physical Science (preferred)

  • Age 18–35

  • Unemployed South African citizen

  • Physically fit for field work

  • Interest in technical / infrastructure careers

  • No criminal record

 Duties During Training

  • Assist technicians with pipe laying & repairs

  • Inspect water & sewer networks

  • Support maintenance teams

  • Conduct basic testing & measurements

  • Follow safety procedures

  • Participate in classroom learning

 Training Locations

Training typically occurs at Rand Water operational sites in:

  • Gauteng

  • Mpumalanga

  • Free State

  • North West
