SASOL LEARNERSHIPS 2026

Sasol’s learnerships are structured training programmes that combine classroom instruction with practical workplace experience — designed to equip young South Africans with nationally recognised qualifications and skills that increase employability.

These opportunities are ideal for recent school leavers, unemployed youth, or individuals with minimal work experience who want hands-on training and a solid foundation for future careers.

WHAT TYPES OF LEARNERSHIPS DOES SASOL OFFER?

Sasol runs multiple learnership streams, which may vary from year to year based on company needs and industry demand. Common types include:

Artisan / Technical Learnerships

These are trade-focused learnerships that equip learners with skills to become qualified industrial artisans.

A key example is the Millwright Learnership Programme — a structured artisan apprenticeship that prepares you to maintain, fault-find, and repair industrial machinery and equipment in the company’s operational environments.

📍 Typical training locations:

  • Secunda, Mpumalanga

  • Sasolburg, Free State
These are major operational sites where practical training takes place with real plant equipment.

Administration & Business-Related Learnerships

Sasol also offers learnerships in corporate and support functions, such as:

  • Business Administration

  • IT administration

  • Customer service

  • Business operations

  • Finance and accounting support

These programmes combine workplace experience with theoretical training to build professional and office-ready skills.

They focus on competencies such as:

  • Communication and business writing skills

  • Customer service excellence

  • Computer and IT proficiency

  • Business accounting basics

  • Entrepreneurship fundamentals
