The AfriSam In-Service Training Programme 2026 is a workplace training opportunity offered by AfriSam, one of the largest suppliers of cement, aggregates, and construction materials in Southern Africa. The programme helps students gain practical work experience required to complete their qualifications.

This programme is mainly designed for TVET college or university students who have completed their theoretical studies and need workplace exposure (in-service training or P1/P2).

🎓 Fields Available

Different AfriSam plants may offer training in these fields:

1️⃣ Engineering (P1/P2)

  • Mechanical Engineering

  • Electrical Engineering

Students join operations teams at plants such as:

  • Eikenhof

  • Jukskei

  • Rooikraal (Gauteng)

2️⃣ Business & Administration

  • Human Resources Management (N6)

  • Financial Management (N6)

3️⃣ Science / Laboratory

  • Analytical Chemistry (S4)

These placements give students experience in cement production processes, lab testing, plant maintenance, and business operations.


✅ Minimum Requirements

Applicants generally must:

  • Be a South African citizen

  • Be registered at a TVET college or university

  • Have completed N6 or S4 studies in the relevant field

  • Require in-service training to complete their qualification

  • Provide a letter from the institution confirming the training requirement.

Some programmes prefer candidates with strong academic results and technical ability.
