TRUWORTHS STORES LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME – NOW OPEN

Truworths International, one of South Africa’s leading fashion retail groups, is inviting unemployed South African youth to apply for its Store-Based Learnership Programme. This learnership offers an excellent opportunity for young people who are interested in building a career in the retail and fashion industry while gaining practical, hands-on work experience in a professional retail environment.

The Truworths Learnership Programme is designed to equip learners with retail operations, customer service, sales, and merchandising skills, while working directly in Truworths stores across the country.

ABOUT THE TRUWORTHS LEARNERSHIP

The learnership combines theoretical learning with on-the-job training in a real retail store environment. Learners will work under the guidance of experienced store managers and supervisors while completing a nationally recognised retail qualification.

This programme is ideal for individuals who are passionate about:

LEARNERSHIP DETAILS

  • Programme Type: Store-Based Retail Learnership

  • Duration: 12 months

  • Location: Truworths stores nationwide

  • Stipend: Provided (amount determined by Truworths)

Learners will receive a monthly stipend for the duration of the programme while gaining valuable workplace experience.

LEARNERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

Learners may be required to:

  • Assist customers with product selection and enquiries

  • Operate point-of-sale systems (cashier duties)

  • Pack shelves and maintain store displays

  • Support stock control and merchandising activities

  • Maintain cleanliness and store standards

  • Deliver excellent customer service at all times

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

To qualify for the Truworths Learnership Programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a South African citizen

  • Must have completed Grade 12 (Matric)

  • Must be between 18 and 35 years old

  • Must be currently unemployed

  • Must not be registered for another learnership or full-time study

  • Must be willing to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays

  • Must have a strong interest in retail and fashion

No previous work experience is required, as full training will be provided.
