The Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) is inviting applications for 104 participants to join upcoming community work and public service projects for 2026.

The programme aims to provide temporary employment opportunities, skills development, and work experience to unemployed South Africans while improving community infrastructure and services.


📍 Job Location

Various project sites across South Africa (Municipality placements based on local community needs).


👷 Available Work Opportunities

Selected participants may be placed in different EPWP project categories, including:

✅ General Maintenance Workers
✅ Cleaning & Environmental Workers
✅ Road Maintenance Assistants
✅ Community Development Workers
✅ Parks & Garden Maintenance
✅ Waste Management Assistants
✅ Public Facility Support Staff

Duties depend on municipal project requirements.


🎓 Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be a South African citizen
  • Be unemployed at the time of application
  • Be aged 18 years or older
  • Have a valid South African ID
  • Be willing to participate in temporary public work programmes
  • Reside within the local municipality (proof may be required)

Grade 10 or Grade 12 may be advantageous but is not always mandatory.
