This free training opportunity is designed for unemployed youth who want to build a career in emergency healthcare and pre-hospital medical services.

The programme provides structured theoretical learning and practical ambulance experience, preparing candidates to support paramedics during emergency response and patient transport operations.

 Learnership Overview

• Programme: Ambulance Assistant / EMS Learnership

• Year: 2026 Intake

• Type: Free skills training with practical placement

• Duration: ±6–12 months

• Stipend: May be provided (provider dependent)

 Training Areas

Learners receive instruction and hands-on practice in:

• Basic life support (BLS)

• Patient handling & transport

• Emergency scene safety

• First aid & CPR

• Vital signs monitoring

 Minimum Requirements

• Grade 10–12

• Age 18–35

• Physically and medically fit

• Good communication skills

• Ability to remain calm under pressure

• Willingness to work shifts

• No criminal record

 Duties During Training

• Assist paramedics on ambulance calls

• Prepare stretchers & equipment

• Support patient movement

• Maintain ambulance cleanliness

• Observe emergency procedures
